Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
I've been to most home games this season. The only one for me that was any good and had atmosphere was Chelsea, other than that it's been shit!

I couldn't make Monday's game against Man Utd, so had to settle for watching it on Sky, this was the first time i'd watched us on TV without going.

Not sure what the atmosphere was like at the ground, but i was shocked at how quiet it was on TV, there was absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever, deathly quiet and i'm surprised no one picked up on it.

Maybe it's just a TV issue not sure, but it was Man Utd FFS not Stoke, but you can see why we get so much stick with it being a souless bowl blah blah blah.

So yeah, it's not a Spurs love in, just seeing it how it is, i watched that last night, and couldn't help notice how different and noisy it was compared to the London Stadium.

I'm not the only one, my kids have no interest in going over there, they say it just lacks any atmosphere

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
if we were 6th ,7th,8th in the league
the ground would be the greatest place on earth to visit .

simple as that -end of debate .

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
The stadium is what it is. It doesn't make or break West Ham. The biggest issue isn't the ground itself but the stewarding and policing of it IMO. If this is sorted and some effort put into understanding the complaints I don't see this mass exodus of fans and Armageddon some are predicting next season.
Tickets to Premier League games will always sell if you market them right and are aggressive with pricing. There was always going to be a few seasons transition.

It's a shame some long term fans won't embrace change but there are always those that won't. I think they will still be the minority. Probably in the thousands but replaced by those who just want to see football and won't moan as much. I don't want to see that but it's a personal choice. Just like every other stadium move there will be some who detest it.

Some of you need to remember that moaning constantly on here won't make any difference to any outcomes. Write to the club and express yourself intelligently (that may be a challenge for some). Although you may expect to get a standard reply and fob off, you can bet these comments will be taken into account if they get enough and they aren't just the standard 'fuck off you slags'. Some problems can be addressed in time and others probably not.

I would have preferred the club to have owned the ground and be in charge of it but we all know why that didn't happen.Still the Spurs lovers on here can all applaud what a wonderful club they are.

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Love them or hate them I've always thought that Spurs had one of the best of grounds for atmosphere and did a better job than most of retaining that when they moved to all seater.

As for their new ground that remains to be seen. I've yet to go to a new ground that was better than the old one

The biggest thing preventing it from being a decent stadium is it being a shit stadium

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
It can be a decent stadium. At the moment it's rhea stewarding and policing both inside and out is edible the goeund that's preventing that together with what has been served up on the pitch.

The owners should first take note of the team, they got a striker and a right back...

Fuck me, have a day off Johnson.

Yes, we all know you were right about the stadium and said all along how shit it would be. And we all know you've been proved right (because you tell us every day) but turn it in for fuck's sake.

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
It won't drop next season, there's the 50k waiting list who haven't experienced how shit it is yet.

Rossal 9:52 Thu Jan 5
Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Yes i think they will drop as alot are saying they won't renew & quite a few seem to have the 'cant be arsed anymore' attitude. If we have a bad second half it wouldnt surprise me at all if less season tickets are sold come the start of next season compared to this.

Fair enough if you think that, i find it hard to believe any club owner would be not bothered in the slightest by less fans paying to watch the team they own.

Johnson 9:48 Thu Jan 5
Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Oh so they will drop?

Others don't agree, others they will go up.

You know our owners tried to get out of paying for c&b seats don't you, they will not likely be inclined to spend money in something they don't own - that's why they went to the OS in the first place.

Their biggest revenue stream is Sky and PL prize money, a few thou off the attendance won't bother them one bit.

That Chelsea game weren't a touch on UP at its best.

Rossal 9:32 Thu Jan 5
Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Our owners

They know changes need to be made and im sure they will make them. The pressure if they don't will force their hand. Attendances will drop if they dont, there is the business sense.

Johnson 9:29 Thu Jan 5
Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Our owners or the stadium owners, Rossal?

What's the business case for either, we already have people confident it will be full at 66k so what's the reason for making any changes?

Re: Owners take notice of the Lane tonight
Its obvious somebody will have to sort out the fucking joke that is the retractable seating.

Fuck knows who will pay for it.

Johnson 9:06 Thu Jan 5

It will improve. I have faith the owners will implement changes. The Chelsea game shows it can be a good football ground.
